Conveyor Belt with Anti-Stick Coating
The ContiClean Effect - ContiTech developed the conveyor belt for conveying damp, sticky material: ContiClean, with moisture repelling covers. Damp pulpy or muddy materials adhere less. The dirt repelling effect is not only only due to the smooth, closed surface. It is an inherent characteristic of the material and is not diminished because of cover wear. ContiClean in Application - ContiClean has proven itself, over the years, in a multitude of different applications. A cement plant confirms: "Our records indicate a significant reduction of idler contamination." Another cement plant reports: "After 2,350 hours of application, we can confirm that ContiClean belts perform much better than standard covers. There is almost no material adhering to the belt." A brick company confirms: "We can't trace any material sticking to the belt. The discharge at the transfer point is working properly." The production manager at a company that conveys chalk with a moisture content of almost 22% states: "You can see the ContiClean effect on the carrying side of the belt. In the past, the surface looked almost white (contamination of chalk), whereas the ContiClean belt had just a slightly gray surface, an indication that contamination was reduced significantly." He estimates that there is a 40% reduction of material sticking to the belt. Areas of Application - The ContiClean line of products has been designed for carrying sticky materials. In all applications where conventional conveyor belts need aggressive cleaning (e.g. with hard-metal scrapers), or where heavy soiling occurs, especially underneath the conveyor, the unique anti-stick properties of ContiClean can be used to good effect. ContiClean has been used to carry the following:
